Privacy Policy

1. Who this applies to

This policy covers sevrenstudios.com, run by Hannes Wagenaar, trading as Sevren Studios, a sole proprietor based in South Africa. It explains what personal information we collect through this site and how we handle it under the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 (POPIA).

It does not cover websites we build for clients, each of those has its own privacy policy covering the data collected there, since Sevren Studios acts as an operator on the client's behalf for that site, not as the responsible party.

2. What we collect on this site

This site keeps things minimal. It does not use cookies, analytics, or tracking scripts of any kind. The only personal information involved is what you choose to give us:

• The contact form opens your own email application with a pre-filled message, we only receive what you send once your email leaves your device, we do not collect it any earlier or store it separately.
• Direct email to contact@sevrenstudios.com, which arrives in our normal inbox like any other email.

3. What we do with it

Information you send us is used only to respond to your enquiry, scope your project, and, if you become a client, deliver the service described in our Terms & Conditions. We do not sell your information, and we do not share it with third parties except where necessary to run the service itself (for example, our email provider, hosting provider, and payment processor, Payfast, for billing).

4. Payments

Subscription payments are processed by Payfast, not by us directly. We never see or store your card or bank details, they are entered on Payfast's own secure payment page. Payfast's handling of your payment information is governed by Payfast's own privacy policy.

5. How long we keep it

Enquiry emails and client correspondence are kept for as long as reasonably needed to run the relationship, and afterwards only as long as required for our own record-keeping and tax obligations under South African law.

6. Your rights

Under POPIA you can ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, subject to any legal obligation we have to keep it. To make a request, email contact@sevrenstudios.com.

7. Security

We take reasonable technical and organisational steps to protect information you send us against loss, unauthorised access, or disclosure. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we do not ask for or hold sensitive personal information (such as payment details) on this site ourselves.

We may update this policy from time to time to reflect changes to the site or the law. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last updated.
