Terms & Conditions
Last updated 28 August 2026.
1. Who we are
Sevren Studios is Hannes Wagenaar, trading as Sevren Studios, a sole proprietor based in South Africa. These terms govern the use of sevrenstudios.com and any website design, hosting, and ongoing care service purchased through it. Contact: contact@sevrenstudios.com.
2. The service
We design and build a website for your business, then host, secure and maintain it for a flat monthly fee, billed in advance. What is included depends on the plan you choose, as described on our pricing page at the time you sign up. The specific scope for your build is confirmed in writing (usually by email) before work starts.
Work outside the scope of your plan — new pages, new functionality, online booking, e-commerce, or a redesign — is quoted separately and never billed without your agreement first.
3. Billing
Plans are billed monthly, in advance, via a recurring Payfast subscription in South African Rand. There is no minimum term and no long-term contract; billing is month-to-month from day one. Prices shown in other currencies on the site are an approximate guide only, actual billing currency is ZAR unless we agree otherwise with you directly.
4. Cancellation
You may cancel at any time by emailing contact@sevrenstudios.com. No notice period is required. On cancellation you choose whether your site is taken offline immediately or stays live until the end of the billing period you have already paid for. See our Refund Policy for what happens to fees already paid.
5. Domain and ownership
Where we register a domain for you as part of onboarding, it is registered in your name and is yours from day one, regardless of the ongoing status of this agreement. All business content you supply (text, photos, logo, branding) remains your property at all times.
Custom code and design work created specifically for your website transfers to you once your account is paid up to date. This does not extend to our own general-purpose tools, templates, or reusable components used across multiple clients, which we keep the right to reuse.
6. Your responsibilities
- The content you give us to publish is accurate, and you have the right to use it (photos, logos, testimonials, and so on).
- You will not ask us to publish anything unlawful, defamatory, or that infringes someone else’s rights.
- You keep your account and any linked email addresses secure, since content change requests are actioned by email.
7. Liability
We perform the service with reasonable skill and care. To the extent permitted by law, our total liability arising from these terms is limited to the fees you paid in the three months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including loss of business, revenue, or data, except where that loss arises from our gross negligence or wilful misconduct.
8. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time to reflect changes to the service or the law. Continued use of the service after an update means you accept the revised terms. Material changes affecting an active client’s plan are communicated by email before they take effect.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. See also our Privacy Policy and Refund Policy.
